Volunteer Kilimanjaro is an NGO that is very dear to Fratern’s heart. It was set up by Fratern and a colleague in Fratern’s home town of Tarakea, on the slopes of Western Kilimanjaro.

Volunteer Kilimanjaro is a humanitarian volunteer tourism organization based in Tarakea. As a socially-responsible business, Volunteer Kilimanjaro is dedicated not only to offering visitors a unique and personal volunteer experience, but also sustainably supporting the local community. Tarakea and the surrounding Rombo District are home to many schools, nonprofits and local organizations that are always in need of assistance.
